The Industrialists
The Challenge is open to all industrialists who want to explore new processes, develop new techniques, introduce new products and new applications or branch out into new markets as well as secure or automate manufacturing processes.
The study subjects are technical, innovative and can lead to future developments: the studies last between 5 and 6 months. The studies are confidential and the results remain the property of the industrialists.
The ITECH Challenges® and competitive clusters
ITECH is involved in 4 competitive clusters, Axelera (Chemistry/Environment), Plastipolis (Plastics engineering), Techtera (Technical textiles) and Sporaltec which guarantees it a prime position at the epicentre of innovation.
The ITECH Challenges®, which are recognised as a stage in the development process, fit perfectly into the new regional schemes offering industrialists the necessary support to entrust feasibility studies to students.
The story so far
To date, more than 300 studies have been completed and 80% of the industrialists involved in these studies have declared themselves to be satisfied with the results they obtained.
Every year, the organisers put in place a set-up involving more than 100 active participants: 30 to 40 students, their industrial tutors, professors and the ITECH Challenge® experts.
Patents are filed every year; processes are developed; new products are invented and new machines built.
