Technical vocational training (Undergraduate program)

ITECH trains its students in preparation to work in the paint, varnish, printing ink, glue and adhesive industries, as well as user industries. BTS can have a regular full time with student status or follow an apprenticeship contract (co-op program)

The certificate

Brevet de Technicien Supérieur des Peintures, Encres et Adhésifs (Technical vocational training certificate: paints, inks and adhesives), awarded by the Ministry of Education. Initial training or apprenticeship contract.

Application

Admission based on qualifications. Selection based on academic record. Minimum qualifications: baccalauréat S (scientific), STL (Laboratory Sciences and Technologies).

Application via the school’s website before the 18th May for the 1st jury and the 15th June for the second jury.

Tuition fees

Tuition fees for the 2008-2009 academic year: 3,000 €/year. No tuition fees for apprentice students. Tuition fees can be paid by monthly direct debit or in three instalments over the academic year. Students can benefit from academic scholarships, under standard conditions, or bank loans.

 Employment

Employment opportunities are essentially either in technical fields: manufacturing - research laboratories - measurement and control laboratories, or in technical sales.
The Institute’s 1st job service serves a triple purpose:

  • information, advice and follow-up of employment-related procedures with each recently graduated up to the signature of his/her employment contract,
  • employment-related information, promotion, and support in collaboration with recruitment agencies and industrialists,
  • promotion and partnership schemes with institutions (APEC...).
