Placements

ITECH’s engineering students have five opportunities to gain international experience

• international experience at the end of the 1^st year (6 weeks)
• technical placement at the end of the 2^nd year (2 months)
• final year project (6 months)
• an academic exchange with a partner university (see list, below)
• a year or at least 6 months abroad (university or company) between the 2^nd and 3rd years 

Students on Foreign placements mainly work for Companies

• 30% of the students from each year group complete a Foreign placement of at least 6 months
  • as part of a year in industry, lasting either 6 or 12 months
  • or their final year project (5 or 6 months)
• 25% gain 2 or 3 months’ experience abroad:
  • as part of an industrial placement at the end of the first year
  • or the technical placement at the end of the 2^nd year

  For European destinations students can benefit from European “Leonardo/ERASMUS” grants.

              For world wilde destinations, Students can apply for regional grants (EXPLO'RA)
