ITECH is dependent on the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (www.education.gouv.fr).
It is a member of the UGEI, the Union of Independent Grandes Ecoles (www.ugei.fr).
ITECH is also a member of the CGE, Conférence des Grandes Ecoles, and with a right to CDEFI, the Committee of Heads of schools for engineering training. It participates in annual seminars and focus groups related to training and international relations.
ITECH is a founding member of the Gay-Lussac Federation (FGL) as a Specialising Chemistry School. This network federates 19 Chemistry and Chemical Engineering schools in France.
ITECH is also a part of the ADESTH grouping of textile schools and of the CST grouping of Plastic Manufacturing schools.
Leather is what gives ITECH its uniqueness as there’s no other equivalent Masters in France, nor throughout the rest of the world.
ITECH is part of the COMUE which regroups 11 Universities, Grande Ecoles in Lyon and St Etienne, and the CNRS.
The school is also a member of the IPL which regroups 4 private engineering schools in Lyon. The Polytechnic Institute of Lyon (IPL) is a group of French engineering schools, founded in 1990, in order to respond to the needs of the Rhône-Alpes region by a pooling of resources.
